Meet the founder
Saltire Spaces is run by Scott McMartin. From 2023 to 2025, Scott was Director of Operations at Antonine Hub in Callendar Business Park, Falkirk. There he created a new business and business centre from an empty building.
He wrote the specification for converting the 37,464 sq ft, three-level office building into a flexible workspace, and project managed the work. The finished centre has private offices, a coworking lounge, meeting rooms, event space, a café and a gym. He set up the gym, choosing the equipment, operations software and payment systems. He recruited the café manager and created the café, which later expanded into Glasgow. He line managed the centre, marketing and café teams, and was the main contact with IWG (Regus) for the managed service contract.
Before that, Scott spent more than 24 years in project management and engineering design in the chemical sector, where he grew a design office from £2M to £14M turnover. He has 40 years in the chemical industry in all, working his way up from tradesman to director. He is a chartered engineer, a Fellow of the Institute of Measurement and Control and a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology.
In 2025 he founded Saltire Project Solutions, which offers consulting in project management, functional safety, instrument engineering, operational change and business transformation in the process sector. Through Saltire FlexSpace Solutions he helps owners with spare office space turn it into flexible workspace, from fit out to day-to-day operations.
